to send this years xmas greeting by text instead of cards...

Thought about doing it last year. Would rather give £20-£30 to local charity and save time, energy and trees. I was thinking perhaps I could just send cards to grandparents who wouldn't understand concept and greeting everyone else by text advising my theory. Do you think anyone would be offended?...

No wonder the post offices are all shutting down if I'm the only one left sending Christmas cards!

No to texts.

I like to email these with a message to overseas friends and relatives.

I'll send cards (home-made if there's time) to friends that I don't see often. A lots of older folk really appreciate getting a card.

I don't send cards to people I see all the time.

Yes I would agree that exchanging cards with those you see every day - work, neighbours, school mums is pointless. I like to send them to friends who live abroad, or in other parts of the country, who I don't see very often, and to relatives. Work cards are unecessary.

just imagining the mileage my MIL would get if I, er of course I mean we, didn't send her a card this Christmas! Good lord, her face would be like a cat's bum and about 300 people would know about it by boxing day.
