I know I am... but to expect SOMETHING on my birthday?

Yes as I said I know I am being a big spoilt brat but surely someone shouldv'e got me something for my birthday!!!

I am 22 today BTW

My mum has buggered off to Spain for a fortnight, my DP says hes too skint (for a card from DS even?!?) and everyone else seemsto have forgotten I have a big family and have recieved 3 bloody cards.

YANBU. I haven't had birthday presents on my birthday for the past 2 years and it does upset me a bit too. I got a cheque from my parents, a card from my DP a day late and a present from my sister 3 months late.

I always make a real effort with presents, never give vouchers or cheques and it does upset me when no-one makes the same effort in return.

My DH forgot mine this year. I had to tell him at 1pm. He ran off and bought presents which were all the wrong size and had to be returned. I didn't spend the money on anything else, it just got frittered away.
2 friends, whose birthdays I always buy cards & presents for, forgot too. But next year I am not going to make the effort.
