I'm sure you will let me know if i am.......... Well, day before yesterday i was watching Loose Women, i have always thought Colleen is quite funny and nice and lively, so abit shocked with myself for getting the hump with her and wanting to phone in and complain!!! They started talking about the 'credit crunch' and people being hard up etc., etc., Colleens contribution to this was to tell people to calm down, stop panicking and just relax and chill out about it...........she said it all in abit of a sarcastic way..... Well this bloody annoyed me to be honest, my dh is a builder, who is addicted to work and would go to work half dead if he had to, of course his industry has been hit hard, no work and no sign or work either, we are skint, only had about £200 coming in in the last couple of weeks. Alright for her to make these flippant comments when she is quite clearly not living in the REAL world.
What do you reckon then.....?

Clam - Agree completely. I loved Kaye, andshe gave the show a totally different edge.

The only one I like is Carol, the no nonsense woman, but hardly ever watch now.

potatofactory · 17/10/2008 09:47

She is VERY dull and stupid., Must be quite soothing being her though - no deep thoughts...

BetteNoire · 17/10/2008 09:58

It is frightening that this programme is allowed to lurch ever onward.
Do they really think it is what women want to see, and that it is representative of British females?
I assume the audience is made up of retired people who have come on a coach trip, and they endure the show because they get to stop off at a lovely fish and chip shop on the way home, or students who need somewhere cheap and warm in which to sober up and have a little nap?
It's a little insulting really.
I think MNTV would be much more popular - although perhaps a post-watershed slot would be best, just to be on the safe side.

darkpunk · 17/10/2008 09:59

kaye adams..that's her...she was good.

Jux · 17/10/2008 10:31

Don't watch it myself, but I've always despised CN because she is completely stupid and has never had an original thought in her life.

cupchar · 17/10/2008 10:32

Most of the people watching would have thought what a stupid thing to say

VASTlargeginandbloodymary · 17/10/2008 10:34

Bran lucky escape

I have to turn it off, they make my ears bleed.

FimboGotAxed · 17/10/2008 10:34

That one that was married to Chris Evans - Carol McGiffen or whatever she is called is on the front of some mag in a Union Jack dress with headlines along the lines of she is staying in Britian now she has a man. Jeez aren't we all love

potatofactory · 17/10/2008 10:37

she was married to Chris Evans? Eeeeeeeewwwwwwwww

FimboGotAxed · 17/10/2008 10:54

Yes she was wifie numero uno.

mppaw · 17/10/2008 10:54

Shows you how fickle that lot are.
Carol was the anti men, anti babies one. Slag off anyone who was happy having children or loving their men.
Low and behold she has a man (First time in about 7 years) and is a changed woman. So hypocritical. They all need to pull their heads out of their arses and start living in the real world.

mppaw · 17/10/2008 10:55

In case of any confusion, I dont like Loose Women.

FimboGotAxed · 17/10/2008 10:56

My mother loves it and always has it on when she comes to stay - mind you she reads Take A Break too which says it all.

blossomsmine · 17/10/2008 12:40

Yes, Carol thinks she is a 'wild child' whereas in fact she is a sad old woman (not being ageist i am probably on the way to being the same age!) She'll be having a baby next and saying she always wanted children but didn't think it would ever happen....hypocrite!!
Kay was much better wasn't she, always had something interesting to say, not frilly and silly like this lot.
Well Coll has well and truly put me off the programme now....

Was she in the Nolans? In which case she must have zillions from all those record sales in Japan, so what would she know about credit crunch?

Anyway, I think they just say things to get a reaction.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/10/2008 13:44

with her iceland adverts and loose woman - sure i read she pulled in about 200k

she doesnt undertand about cc and that some people seriously are struggling

MadreInglese · 17/10/2008 13:47

Colleen Nolan is a half-brained moron

I read an article by her once where she was wittering on about how she wanted to pay for her son to sleep with a prostitute when he turned 16 to get him over the 'embarrassment' of being a virgin (or some such crap like that)

kt14 · 17/10/2008 13:48

I used to quite like it when I worked and was occasionally off sick or on holiday. Now I've realised it's actually the same old thing every day, and they all grate on me, especially Carol who I used to like, now I think she's a bit of a one trick pony..

kt14 · 17/10/2008 13:49

and Coleen's son is called Shane junior. Nuff said.

Elffriend · 17/10/2008 13:52

Only watched about 10 minutes of this once before my ears/eyes started bleeding (and I can watch a good hour or so of Jeremy Kyles so my standards are low)

BUT, a fab idea just occured to me. Keep the format, but have a carefully selected panel from the Mumsnet jury instead.....

THAT I would watch

blossomsmine · 17/10/2008 13:53

Colleens other son goes to Syvia Young Theatre School full time and she is always on about him on the programme, also noticed he has been in alot of magazines with her lately plugging the fact he wants to be in showbiz.... Costs a fair penny to send a child there full time.

Libra1975 · 17/10/2008 13:53

Actually she has a point (
not that I know who she is or what the hello Loose Women (nice title - not), if people hadn't paniced over Northern Rock then the banking fiasco wouldn't be as half as bad as it is now.

rebelmum1 · 17/10/2008 13:59

who cares about any of these women's opinions .. 'boo get em off'

blossomsmine · 17/10/2008 14:17

Ah yes Libra, but thats not what she was talking about, she was talking about all the 'doom and gloom' on the tv/papers at the moment, people worrying about paying the bills/food/mortgage etc., So i say she doesn't have a point when she is sitting on her wad of cash whilst most of us our wondering how to pay the next utility bill not how to pay the next private theatre school bill.
