My son went to his friends house for tea last night after school. He is 8, his friend is 9.

Anyway during the course of the night, friends mum decided she needed to go out so she bundled her youngest into the car and drove off! leaving my son and his friend locked in the house. She apparantly told them not to answer the phone or the door and left a spare front door key in case of emergency.

By the sounds of it she was gone about 20 minutes.

I'm annoyed. AIBU?

I have left dd like this at the same age but that was my choice and I would be furious if she was in the care of another adult and they did it without asking me.

You are right to be annoyed. I would be fuming!

Have you had an explanation?

phraedd · 15/10/2008 20:08

OMG

i would be livid if someone did that to my child.

Did the mum tell you why?
