He just hates it, cries and wriggles so much. I sing, play games, do nothing and try to be as fast as possible, nothing works!

Should I pin him down crying or change him as he stands and plays with something.......its getting to be a real problem!

Am I creating a problem to come???

Give him the biggest pot of sudocream you can find, as full (so heavy) as possible, or keep old ice cream tub and fill with rice/pasta so again heavy and makes a shaky sound.

My dd used to drive me potty, I often change her standing up apart from bad poos and yes I sort of pin her down with my feet!!!

My tricks are things baby really likes but don't normally get to play with. So keys, remote control, bead bracelets, wet wipe packet etc. Obv keep close on them as most of these items are choking hazards.

Also playing peek a book with a clean nappy over babies face to keep them very distracted and talking in a weird voice. I randomly started doing a sort of crazy frog tune the other day which went down well.

Also something as simple as changing where you change baby can help. If you have a changing table for example; imagine looking at the same patch of ceiling for 11 months when you've just discovered heaps of other interesting things. How BORING!

Am a nanny btw.

Hooudini has been trying to get her mitts on my iPhone since she slid out. I am nearly desperate enough to give it to her, navy

Good fun, isn't it?? I have found a book in his hands works wonders- he likes those touchy feely ones, and he also plays peek-a-boo with it!

Was just about to say same as navyeyelash - anything that's not DD3's seems good. Current fave is a (well screwed up!) bottle of nail polish. That was today - tomorrow will be totally different...

Like the look of the Rabbit, might be easier for babysitters as MIL probably not quite as agile! I see a visit to Olivers Babycare tomorrow...
