I know loads of posters names now. I've been off work for 6 weeks and as I'm not allowed to do anything I've been on here --too- much a bit more.

I've been here all this year and I don't think anyone ever recognises me or remembers me from threads. But that's cool, I'm not that prolific.

I seem to remember everyone's name. Funny because in RL I always remember faces but never names but then, here, I suppose the names are the faces iyswim.

I don't think it's anything to do with how long you've been here, it's much more about how much you post. For example, I ought to be an "oldie" - I've been around for five years, but I don't post very much, not enough toexpect more than a handful of people to recognise me.
Am guessing some newbie has been whinging about being "ignored"? either make yourself noticeable, or talk a lot!

Got over the newbie thing by 'talking a lot'.. and being interested in other folk. Weird because I'm pretty shy in RL. Find it easier to be confident in my MN guise.

I have been here a couple of years but had to change my name because someone in RL recognised me probably on account of my total lack of discretion when it comes to posting details of my life.
So I hope nobody recognises me.
I think some people get known in a couple of weeks - and some are still unknown after years.
