We know about Blardy, Feck and Twonk.
I was just wondering about words you use at home.

When DS1 was little and he used to get cross he'd yell "Black egg!" That was his swear word.

DD likes to say "Shim,Shumper,Shandals" anything with a J at the beginning is SH. She is 12!

We always say "watch the gherkin" if there is a cup of tea or similar on the floor and someone is walking by.

It started years ago when my father shouted "watch the......gherkin" because he couldn't remember the name for tea just as my brother spilt his.

I guess you had to be there, but years later is still winds my father up when he hears us say it.

dd says hoobs for boobs, now we all use it.

frankbestfriend · 07/10/2008 21:40

at 'gherkin'

Ah, lol at 'watch the gherkin'. We have 'mind that wolf' in a similar capacity, dating back to some advert where a wolf ran out in front of a car.

Also, a number of completely made-up words and phrases which I fear the dds are bound to come out with in the playground at some point. Perhaps we should re-read the dictionary .
