I always have a fear as well of trying to hire a suit and not getting one to fit me. I need to stop being a fat whinging lazy cow basically and loose weight.

twins, you can do this. You have the first and most essential part...the desire. Everything else will follow. Good luck on it and maybe post about your experience? Please?

twinsetandpearls · 05/10/2008 17:16

I will do.

I think they had wet suits to fit everyone.

Do it do it do it, it will make you feel awesome even if you are completely rubbish at surfing! I was never particularly sporty or active as a kid and boy do i regret that now i'm old enough to hurt when I fall over. it's also something great to do as a family, however big or small your family is.

Oh, tsap, do give it a go. I took some lessons in June (Lusty Glaze beach, I think it was), and really enjoyed it. I'm medium-sized (14 or so, but old, if that helps ), the two other people on the class were really really quite big. The wetsuits come in big sizes, no fear - the legs and arms may be too long, but you just roll them up. There was no fuss about anyone being big!
