to be pissed off with people throwing fag ends out car windows ASSHOLES !!

it drives me mad when i see inconsiderate idiots doing this!! its also piss.s me off when i see them smoking and driving with fags hanging out there gobs yukky
is,nt it against the law !!

I think it may be dangerous to the person driving and smoking as they may drop the fag on themselves but thats it

i once had the passenger of a parked car outside school drop their smouldering fag end out of the window landing on my buggys apron, as i marched on up to school - thankfully did not land on DC, or leave a mark, as i flicked it off PDQ

All I got was a sheepish "sorry". I was so shocked I did not even say anything but I was SO angry afterwards!

It's littering anyway, a disgusting habit!

2beornot2b I couldn't look. I think there was a hasty extinction on the part of the handbag's owner once she also realised it was in danger of going up in flames, but i don't think she knew who the culprit was. Unless my face gave it away

Not sure about 'common'

Franklin Roosevelt smoked and so did Winston Churchill. Also two tabacco companies had royal warrents. I've read that the Queen currently buys cigars/cigerettes to offer visitors and doesn't mind them lighting up after meals.

yes i still stand by my op its certainly not for the entertainment value at all its digusting as said above have you never seen a flickering fag coming at you from the car in front all it needs is fuel from another car or fuel from a leak etc and bang !! and as its a site for parents from parents i think its justifide tbh could be someone;s kids in that car behind and

It can be dangerous to other drivers. My brother goes motor biking a lot with friends. He was behind a car once and they flicked a fag out the window and he had his visor up and it went straight into his face, and he almost crashed. I also hate seeing fag buts littering the streets. It is illegal to smoke, eat or use phone (anything that requires you to take one hand off the wheel) while driving...

I wouldn?t say it is common though, that?s just rude?..

errr it is dangerous to other drivers if a smoker drop their cig on their legs and crashes into them while paniking about burning their nether regions.

Tenuous link du jour: "tbh could be someone's kids in that car behind" - TBH anything that anyone does could have an effect that somehow, someway could affect someones kids.

Oh and the chances of a fag setting fire to the myseterious "fuel from another car/leak" in general, are limited to say the least, unless of course, one is parked in a petrol station at the time.

You would be a good scriptwriter for Casualty, debz

I'm more concerned about people who walk along, with a lit fag in their hand...their hand down by their side, the hot end pointed outward at EXACTLY dd's eyeball height...God, I've leapt sideways quickly several times when out and about to avoid her getting a lit ciggie in her eye...

My options are: give dd growth hormones or kill all smokers who do this..."a proportionate response", as President Bush MIGHT say

When I used to smoke in the street (I don't now) I'd cup my hand around the lit part so it couldn't bump against someone. We are not all inconsiderate.

BUT since we're mentioning it. I remember being that size and having to dodge handbags/shopping bags/umbrellas and so on held by women who didn't give a shit about the kids as long as they got to the front of the queue first.

debzmb62, you'd have been ok if you'd stuck with the fags being thrown out the window because that is silly and dangerous. But you went on about them smoking in their own car and how common it was and lost all credibility. People just shrug and think "oh another one of those"

should be shot the ferkin lot of them !!
not against them smoking in their own cars at all its up to them ! they should keep the windows shut{so no fags go flying out the window of course ) and smoke to there heart content as long as they use there own ashtray ffs how easy is that but do remember it is actually ilegal to smoke while driving !!anyway
