Three women. One pre-school kid, obviously on their way back from the school run.

And ...

A 1.5 l bottle of white wine! Ok, they weren't far into it, but ... it was 10:30 in the morning!

I was shocked at the American idea of a Night Out here when I first arrived. Two, maybe three glasses of wine, they're all shitfaced and ready to go home. I on the other hand was mightily disappointed cos I'd only just started!!!!

On the plus side my liver is in the best shape it has been since I was 10. And it's a super cheap night out. Shamefully I am now one of the "3 glasses and I'm gone" crowd too.

Oh FFS what;s it got to do with you or anyone else, unless they were being noisy or agressive or trying to drive cars? I have been known, on an average of 3 times a year, if that, to drink alcohol before midday - that would be: mine or a partner's birthday, Xmas morning (bucks fizz for breakfast or some sort of festival of misbehaviour. But whatever their reasons, unless they are inconveniencing, annoying or endangering other people, it's up to them what they do.

I must admit I was rather surprised at the first-time mums group I went to in Oz that they were all cracking the cheap champagne at 10am!

Guess it's cultural.

Could have been a wee sample for the ante-natal clinic.

OrmIrian · 30/09/2008 15:16

DOn't hold out much hope for the rest of that pre-schooler's day. 3 pissed women! Nice. I'm a toper but I'd struggle after 1/2 a litre at 10 in the morning

Alcohol has it's place (and it's time)

Whatever gets you through the day

NotQuiteCockney · 01/10/2008 16:37

I didn't go check yesterday, I was feeling not that energetic, so didn't run.

It's unlikely it was a wee sample! I fear the woman who can wee that much, that accurately.

Yes, of course it's none of my business, but if MN people stuck to things that were their business, we'd have nothing to talk about!

Maybe it was one of those 24-hr wee samples which they'd decanted?

I boak at people boozing at 5am in airports but each to their own.
