I went to a few toddler groups during my maternity leave. Don't remember ever bringing up the issue of poo.

I think it is the sort of stupid thing people say in the media because they think it is funny and clever to stereotype to a bunch of non-parents whilst thinking they are being funny in mentioning the subject of (gasp) poo.
