I would say that unless it was a Moschino coat or something then YANBU.

The rise of dirt cheap clothing from Primark et al has put charity shops in a difficult position.

we had a lot of clearouts before and after Ds was born and I chucked/cut up for cleaning rags a lot of cheap but not that old t shirts because I assumed our local Help the Aged wouldn't actually want them. I just gave them older but much nicer stuff.

I've been looking in charity shops lately and it really is much cheaper to go to Primark/supermarket. I've also had loads of decent stuff rejected by charity shops e.g. Barnardos would not accept my Ikea furniture, which was in perfect nick because it was Ikea. It has prompted me to use freecycle instead, as someone always wants to pick up anything that works.

I wonder are the charity shops noticing what people will pay for some stuff on ebay and pricing accordingly? I think it would be great if they would SELL any particularly good stuff on ebay themselves, if they are worried about people doing that. But accept anything handed in that is half-decent and sell it off really cheaply. If anyone knows of a charity shop with this policy send me there!
