AIBU to be irritated by being "spoken to" by inanimate objects. It's happening more and more. I went to the supermarket this afternoon and in the entrance a voucher was calling "Scan me and save £5". I quite often buy ingredients that tell me directly how to cook them "Roast me with a little oil and some garlic", "serve me with warm crusty bread", "do not turn me upside down"

Is the world going mad, or am I?

The conveyor, HedgeWitch, conveyor.

(Always makes me feel like I'm the one about to be scanned.)

I like the label on dc's teddy's, 'don't iron' PMSL who irons a teddy

Ellbell · 13/09/2008 23:56

That would be one sadistic child, Eddas...

"approaching landing level.
please take care".

and then a really, really quiet disclaimer about how you can't sue them if you get the toes of your crocs caught underneath the side of the escalator.

you can't hear this bit unless you really strain your ears, as it is whispered in an 'M&S food porn' voice.

PolarBear - It would talk if it was a steak at Milliways (the restaurant at the end of the universe) in which case it would ask you which part you would like to eat. Obviously I read too much. Or too much silly stuff I should say.

StealthPolarBear · 14/09/2008 21:27

I think I should read the book!
Eddas lol at ironing a teddy - what would they want the end result to be? A flat teddy, surely?
