Easter Eggs

There now I've said it.

mamadiva · 10/09/2008 00:23

Ooh yeay christmas shopping next week LOL.

babbi · 10/09/2008 00:28

YANBU - I will not mention it as no need.
All shopping, present wrapping and card writing has already been done in the Babby household. (true)

Moving on.. Mrs Bates can you tell where Easter Eggs are available ? Really must get on to that now ..

The miserable gits who moan about people mentioning Christmas early are the ones I want to tell to feck off.
Christmas is a lovely time of year and only to be celebrated. I love to see Christmas trees and lights being up early - why the hell not? They're so bright and cheery. There's enough doom and gloom the rest of the year.

SmugColditz · 10/09/2008 08:24

I've been buying Christmas Presents

Gateau · 10/09/2008 08:26

Granted, it's not a nice time at all for people who have had recent tragedy in their lives.

VinegarTits · 10/09/2008 08:57

I only wish my life was organised enough start buying now, but no, it will be a last mintue mad rush the week before 'that word that cant be mentioned before October' as usual!

matildax · 10/09/2008 09:14

oh i have all my presents wrapped and labeled, all my cards written out, ready to send, new decorations bought, all the kids toys in seperate boxes in the loft, ready to carry down on christmas eve, oh and all the little stocking fillers, all individually wrapped in beautiful festive paper!!!
clothes for all of us for the big day, seperately stored in plastic wrapping to keep them fresh and sparkling clean. oh and the best of all, matching pjs for us all!!! so we look 'proper debenhams' on christmas eve
........... actually i do feck all till the last minute, im the most unorganized christmas person ever!!!!
note to my self, please try better this year. give yourself at least 3 weeks!

Purplepillow · 10/09/2008 09:19

In my local Tesco's last week, we saw them putting out christmas advent calenders and........... EASTER EGGS fgs! Now that is taking the piss or what

2beornot2be · 10/09/2008 09:20

Well were I work is already selling packs of christmas cards GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Makes me feel misereable and my best friend keeps telling me how she has brought her 2 DD's presents already and she is ready for xmas :_(

FAQ · 10/09/2008 09:20

yes YABU if people have relatives overseas some countries the last overseas posting date is at the start of October.

Also while it may not be an excuse to "spend every penny you've got" - for some people if they want a "Christmas" at all they have to start early.

TrinityRhino · 10/09/2008 09:32

You can feck OP
I dont spend every penny but to just have a few nice things for my family and a tree and some nice dinner I HAVE to start now and do little by little with the little I have spare

so feck off and argue with me about something interesting like breastfeeding someone else kids

FAQ · 10/09/2008 09:34

actually having typed my previous post I've realised if I want to sent Christmas card from the boys to my (future Ex-IL's) I'd better get sorted!

thefortbuilder · 10/09/2008 09:48

my mum makes her christmas cake on october 1, so it's a tradition in our house - so i have to mention it before then, otherwise no cake in our house

normally i am better organised than i am this year though - nothing bought yet at all

ComeOVeneer · 10/09/2008 09:55

What does it matter when people do what for christmas. Some of us are organised and do it early, others revel/drown in chaos and do it last minute, some inbetween. I panic at disorganised so start early. Yes I already have done a load of presents, because (a) I found some great bargains and so far have saved over £200 (B) am chair of school PTA so have a christmas fair and several other events to organise plus ds's birthday a week before christmas.

Lest we all forget christmas is the season of good will to all - perhaps we should try to extend that to include the rest of the year eh?!?!

FAQ · 10/09/2008 09:57

oh yes that reminds me COV - I'd better get the Christmas Carol service for church sorted out, and gather a "choir" together - not many weeks left for practising or planning. And I've got DS2's birthday and DS3's Christening last weekend of November

ComeOVeneer · 10/09/2008 10:00

Also I rather like arriving at christmas day calm and organised ready to enjoy it, rather than frazzled and burnt out wanting to hid under the duvet until it is all over

ethanchristopher · 10/09/2008 22:50

last week of august my godmother heads off to llandudno to sell christmas cards.
