AIBU to be bloody annoyed that centreparcs INSIST we book a three bed of two even though I have explained that mt DS will NOT sleep alone away from home...???

Was really looking forward to booking a short break for early next year, when ds will only just be two. We are going with the GP's and decided to book a two bed lodge. DS probbaly won't go to bed much earlier than us on hols and from experience wqe know he will go beserk if we try to settle him on his own in a starnge room and will be waking up all night long (sigh)

Tried to explain his to the booking lady, who was very nice, but she was adamant that if 4 adults plus a child over two were booking then we HAD to book a three bed lodge, which adds about £200 quid to the bill, for a room we won't use!! Its ludicrous {sad] So now e we won't be going as we can't afford it.

Wilkie, we were hoping to go 24th April. That seemed to be the most reasonable time avoiding school hols and easter which bumps it up.

All villas have one cot and highchair regardless of whether any babies are staying or not. Linen isn't provided for cots even if you 'declare' your baby. Just say he is 23 months. They won't even look in the car to see how many people you have.

Bettyanne, we go 3 times a year and never had an issue, it was feb this year and sept last. Our DS is 2 and we do put him in room on own although this wll be first time in bed (so god knows what he'll be cooking up for us)!. We take the monitor to make sure we can hear everything. Our DS wouldn't sleep well if in same room as us, he's a light sleeper.

I just looked at the center parcs europe website, & a child of 0-2 would be allowed in a 2-bed villa there (in Holland it would be about 350 euro for the weekend you want - plus ferry of course - much further south & the weather should be better )

Personally, I would lie and not 'declare' your baby OR say he/she is 23 months as others have said. They don't check. We are going on Monday for 5 days - it is our second visit with our DS and they have never asked about him or anything.

Have just been back on the site an a price of 455 is coming up, cant understand that unless she put us in one of the more luxurious lodges as I asked to be central-ish?? Will have to mull over the option of fibbing or goign elsewher, have checked out the TLH website an it looked really nice and reasonable.

No, it shouldn't be - Easter Sunday is the 12th so most school hols will be Fri 3 - Fri 17. Fri 24 is bang in between that and the May Day weekend so should be as cheap as you can get at that time of year.
