To be completely unable to find a decent winter coat for DD

Clearly I am, as all the other girls in her class have nice new winter coats every year. But every year we go to the shops at the end of the school holidays, and they are not in yet. Then we go back at half term, and they have all sold out. Grrrrrr. And I have been looking on line and I can't find anything that looks half decent and doesn't cost an arm & a leg, not even on ebay And even b*** tescos doesn't sell their clothes on line

here

Gap only have an American site but they sell the same stuff here at the same time.

cornsilk · 06/09/2008 10:40

actually I quite like that blue one! Have started a thread asking for coat advice now as well!

vertbaudet and la redoute might be worth a look, they have lots of different styles.

mylittlepudding · 06/09/2008 10:51

I think this is gorgeous. I got a different one though, that doesn't seem to be on the website.

I love that one too mylittlepudding. I had to sadly reject it on the basis that it only had buttons, no zip and it wasn't warm enough for my dd who gets really cold.

tortoiseshell - it does look similar but beleive me the embroidered flowers would have put her off And the boys parka was reduced to 7.99 in Woollies and is warm and long.

Takver · 06/09/2008 15:51

Aha, La Redoute looks good - I like the parka, it looks good and warm. The John lewis mac is lovely, but I'm looking for something nice & cosy (& long) for cycling to school in mid winter.
