To think the police are bloody useless?

We ended up stuck in the middle of the rioting at Notting Hill Carnival last night.

It was bloody terrifying, the police wouldn't let us through to get away.

They also just kept pointlessly charging backwards and forwards. There were literally hundreds of them, why couldn't they do anything?

We saw a policeman kicking a random boy who, like us, had got innocently caught up in it.

I'm really angry about it, I've got footage on my mobile that I want to send to the police but I doubt they will be interested.

yes they do have plans but events such as this and other public order situations can change within a second. things don't always go according to plan. crowd control is also for crowd safety. they kept you their until the riot officers arrived to prevent further rioting. if they'd let you through the other way and a riot had kicked off there as well, you would have been in more danger than standing in a doorway with others.

I am still smirking at the facebook comment.
