If I don't want a sweep?

Am only 40+2 but midwife today wanted to book me in for a sweep at the weekend. I said no, and she siad they'd look at doing one on Tuesday instead, because it's better that than induction.

Thing is, I'm fine, baby's fine, and I have no intention of being induced at 10 days over. I don't see why I should have to, why mess if everything's fine?

Am I just being weird about this?

bb - yes I did, by the skin of my teeth!
i was very lucky this time round with my antenatal care - the midwife was very clued up and was happy for me to go overdue and make my own decisions
I know from experience had I seen a consultant there would have been pressure to be induced

My consultant was pretty dismissive of sweeps - asked if we wanted one if we went overdue, but said that left to him he wouldn't bother. Don't think he felt they generally were of any value. And dd was big, so going overdue could have been interesting.
