I had this when DD was bridesmaid to her Aunt, her dads sister. I went and watched outside the church and took photos. I took a friend along for moral support. They were kind enough to invite me to the nightdo.
When her dad got married and she was bridesmaid I steered clear and took myself off somewhere nice for the day. I saw her in her dress when she got home late that night and took photos but I never saw any of the actual wedding photos even though I asked to.
