There is a single guy who lives below us. He has recently started complaining about the noise my DD makes.

We tell her off if she starts jumping and try to keep her out of our room in the morning as his bedroom is below ours.

He has just sent up a letter asking us to keep our DD quite. What am I suppose to do, you can't explain to a 2yr how to keep quite.

Just to add, we bought the freehold to our flats Jan 2007, all 3 flats agreed to pay £500 straight away to do bits and bobs that needed doing he only paid £90. We also agreed to pay £30 a month from Jan 08 and guess what he has only paid £30 in the 8mths. He has started all this complaining since we had an arguement in March as he wasn't paying anything into the business account.

He is really pissing me off and upsetting me as I don't know how to keep a 2yr old quiet and he isn't paying his share of the freehold

Any ideas please?

If you (as in you and your DP) bought the freehold and he is a leaseholder it might also be worth knowing that by failing to pay the money he owes you he is currently in breach of his lease. You could take him to court for breach and if he failed to pay up he would loose his flat, and you'd get it! You might want to point this out to him as he is being such a total arse!
