after being the first to reply to a freebie on here (maclaren quest)and was really glad when i logged on an saw the lady had offered it to me , so i emailed her to ask when i could arrange collection for and offered to give her some money towards packaging, only for her to reply to me apologising that someone else had emailed her, pretending to be me and had the cheek to go and collect it themselves all under the guise that they were me, how nasty and dishonest is that, and now im trying to contact mumsnet to do something about it as im am fucking fuming and just want to find the lady and punch her face in for doing that, its not even the pushchair im fuming about, its the fact that she pretended to be me in order to get STEAL the pushchair, it is theft and to think someone would go as low as that for a old pushchair is really grinding my gears!!! how would you feel?

Right hollyandnoah, will email you right now

Ledodgy · 11/08/2008 17:59

Ahh I see I didn't realise the email had been sent minutes after the email address was put up. In that case that is a bit out of order.

lilyloo · 11/08/2008 20:04

I put a message on freecycle once when i was going away and my buggy didnt fit in mums car, and i got like 8 offers. I ended up going out and buying one because we wereleaving in like 30 mins.. but u could try that xx

solidgoldbrass · 12/08/2008 01:38

Where are you? And is it a buggy/travel system you were looking for or a stroller?

lilysmummy2007 · 12/08/2008 09:08

hi, im in london but was going to arrange a courier, cant seem to find the original post as i did ask that in the first instance,SGB i was after a lightweight stroller that i could pop to the shops etc with, i have a britax travel system pram in car boot but i also have very bad back since epidural for EMCS and its quite heavy and ive 3 flights of stairs as my block is ancient and has no lift. might have a go on freecycle holly.

I have a Maclaren Volo (which is the one that comes with a shoulder strap, v lightweight) and I live in Croydon. I was going to freecycle it but hadn't got round to doing so yet - my DS is nearly 4 and hasn't used it for months. If you can arrange collection you can have it (or if you are near Croydon we could maybe meet up or something).

SparklyGothKat · 12/08/2008 18:56

If lilymummy doesn't want the Volo, I know Misdee is on the lookout for one as she brought one on ebay that was crap..

lilysmummy2007 · 12/08/2008 22:44

hi SGB, thanks very much, i would be very happy with that the lighter the better, im just in streatham as well so i would be able to collect it, thanks ever so much please mail me on [email protected]. thanks

Lilysmummy: I actually have to be in Streatham tomorrow, emailing you.

MadameOvary · 13/08/2008 01:11

That's karma for you - you end up with a nice pushchair, I hope that Miss Dishonest gets what she deserves too.

solidgoldbrass · 13/08/2008 10:41

Lilysmummy: my gmail account is playing up so I don't know if you have sent me a message via it. If you got my message can you give me a ring or a text?
(DOn't worry about it too much if you are busy today, Streatham really is no distance from me and we can sort it out).

VictorianSqualor · 13/08/2008 10:46

It's not really that bad is it?
Someone saw the for free ad and the email and emailed the poster.
No dishonesty there.
Plus "find the lady and punch her face in" is disgusting IMO.
It's a pushchair. It's free. Get over it.

lilysmummy2007 · 13/08/2008 21:32

victoriansqualor you seem to have misunderstood the point of my rant, its not the Pushchair its the principle, the poster put up 'lilysmummy its yours mY email is ..... NOT FREE PUSHCHAIR EMAIL ....@... if i see something offered to someone else at almost 10pm at night , i wouldnt email the person and ask is its still available straight away, some people have other things to do that sit on the pc,ive a teething terror of a 15month old daughter to put to bed and it was late so i said i would reply the following day, but by the time i replied the following morning quite early, whoever it was had already emailed the lady minutes after she put her email address up and arranged collection and collected it. and yes i was angry and said i would punch her in the face because what she did was disgusting.

SGB i havent gotten a mail from you and i was in streatham today as well lol, would have been perfect could have had a coffee on me as well, can we rearrange, anytime that suits you really

Hi lilysmummy: I have fixed my computer now, you can CAT me or get me at decadentz (at) gmail.com. I have no particular plans tomorrow afternoon but have a lively 3-year-old DS: if it's not pouring perhaps we could meet at a park or something (DS likes Streatham COmmon).

lilysmummy2007 · 13/08/2008 23:33

have emailed you SGB

OP posts:
lilysmummy2007 · 22/08/2008 01:21
