I and two other CM's took 13 Children to a woodland play trail today.

The toddler Children found a muddy puddle and were jumping in it (and sitting in it )

A Father and son, of about 8 walked past, I didn't hear what the boy said but the Father, looked back at the toddlers and said 'well they are to young to know how to behave themselves'

WTF, are children not suppose to jump in puddles?

(Good job, he didn't see the older ones 5 minutes later, they found a even bigger and muddier puddle )

I will have you know my Mindees are Angels, never put a foot wrong, never tantrum, eat everything, drink everything, polite, well mannered, and beautiful

Honest, and that is why I am sooooooooooooooo looking forward to going to Spain without them all next week

Love them really.

LadyMariner a few years ago, took my then oldest Mindees to the beach in October, it was really warm, they climb up about 5ft on a clay cliff, which was sloped, tipped water down it and slid.............. the went home in their knickers and coats as well

My parents DO NOT expect their children home clean from me

YABU. You said that they were sitting in the puddles too. Maybe the 8 year old asked why they were sitting in the puddles and not just jumping in them. Maybe lots of things. Its no business of his what you do with your mindees but its equally no business of yours what he says to his son.

Well ive had this conversation with my 10 year old before, he likes to think that every child is naughty and will tut and comment openly whilst walking past small children.

Sometimes I just cant be arsed to explain why its perfectly ok for a little one to jump in puddles and I may say something like "they're too little to know better". Not meaning its wrong, just that I cant be arsed to explain to him...again.

anniepan · 06/08/2008 20:31

You should have pushed him in what was left of the puddle and said... now thats bad behaviour and all run off!!! LOL

Shoshe · 06/08/2008 20:42

I was a muddy CM LM

London11's Littest Mindee thought it was fun to run at me and wipe her hands all down me

It was lovely actually cos she usually goes all shy with me.

And Thank You
