My MIL started doing this to DS when he was young and I'm sorry to say it made me cringe. So DH said we're trying to teach him not to kiss on lips as he copies and does it to his friends (which was true), and they are usually running with snot. MIL either took the hint or was so repelled by the idea of kissing DS who'd been kissing snotty friend that she's not done it since.

Bu I guess you can't do that with your FIL! He really should take the hint when you turn your head - offer more ear zone than cheek - this worked with DH's snoggy uncle. Now he bellows 'she doesn't want to kiss me' and I just smile and agree!

YUK YUK. I have this too and have no advice some fils are very thick skinnerd, I try the squirming away, turning my face etc but sometimes they still get you!
