I had a really boring name till I noticed everyone else was being really imaginitive. Intrigues me, sometimes, what the thinking behind some of the monickers are

HughJars · 26/07/2008 07:10

I've had this one for ages.

AsAMatterOfFisk · 26/07/2008 22:25

which is....?

mum2oandh · 26/07/2008 22:41

Just a little hijack.....

I'm pretty new

The implications seem to be that my name is crap

Gave it absolutely no thought when I chose it

Should I change it?

cornsilk · 26/07/2008 22:41

yes.

ALMummy · 26/07/2008 22:43

SOME on here have ishoos with names that have Mum or Mummy in them. Don't change it if you like it. I have had a few comments on mine but I don't care.

mum2oandh · 26/07/2008 22:47

May well change it, can't decide,

Thought a 'mum' name would be fairly appropriate for 'mumsnet', but maybe that's just me.

Can anyone tell me why it's not the done thing?

ScottishMummy · 26/07/2008 22:48

bumping gums about someone else MN name is sad.

Relatively new user here! Is my one week MN anniversary LOL.

Is mama included in this? I chose it because I am the mother of all divas at times so therefore am mamadiva

Also I have seen a few threads where people get the piss taken out of them because of their names which isn't really fair. The main one that crops to mind is youngbutnotdumb there was someone who changed there name on a thread I think it was a bout Maddie touchy subject I know but someone changed there name half way through to piss take isn't that against the rules.

ScottishMummy · 26/07/2008 23:01

gravitational forces from a name?name as predictor of interest phew!

well Have to say, I do notice the oasis songNames beHereNowers, not necessarily negatively, but they are in the minority/non-existent on the threads I gravitate towards...maybe they get scared off/fed up and move on (or change names perhaps to ParkLifeMummy)

mum2oandh · 26/07/2008 23:07

Now I want to change my name to mummymummymummymummy just because I shouldn't.

ScottishMummy · 26/07/2008 23:08

lol and still some numpty will roll along and say oh i hate them MummmyNames

mamadiva · 26/07/2008 23:12

Don't see the problem, if it's the alias you want to be known as on here then fine it's up to you. Am sure there are plenty of other names out there which seem a bit daft that don't have mummy in them. I can think of 1 right now. Which makes me think it sounds like a cheap version of a certain famous mp3 player

You all know who I mean and don't deny you think the same. Perhaps this is the point of said name though I don't know.

mum2oandh · 26/07/2008 23:14

I'm off to sleep on it, and try to come up with something clever

Just feel that if I change it now it's got to be really witty, Oh the pressure....

And to think I joined up for fun, the sheer foolishness of me.
