to fire my cleaner?

Firstly - yes i know i'm a slattern and should do my own housework. But im not going to so there.

My regular cleaner left the agency for a different job, and the new lady just isnt as good. She is very nice and all, but isnt very good at cleaning. Now i would probably just let this go, but yesterday she broke one of my two special wedding glasses, which i was very nice about. but she obviously didnt clear it all up as last night i stood on some broken glass and winded up in A&E.

It could so easily have been my 17mo little DS. Should i say something to her? What? Should i call the agency? Say what? Shoudl i just keep my mouth shut - anyone can have an accident? I dont want to upset her, shes a nice lady (too old to be cleaning though imho).

I would call the agency really, give her another chance!!!!
As for the comment about foreign cleaners being better, i find that rather annoying actually I work as a cleaner and pride myself on doing a good job for everyone. I clean every house as i would like mine cleaned (given the chance!) I also imagine the home owner coming home and try and make it exceptionally clean, comfortable and nice for them.

Great to hear blossomsmine. I haven't found a good one yet, all that came to my house so far act like they are doing me a favour and I must take them on with a lot of attitude, somehow not realising they actually come for an interview and there are high standards to adhere. One didn't want to take her shoes off - unbelievable. We have light carpets and a small baby. I was lost for words, which doesn't happen often. Having tried a few agencies, now trying to find a good cleaner through friends' recommendations.
All the best to all.

I just misread your title as "aibu- to clean my fire?"

I must have a guilty conscience...

Fleurlechaunte · 18/01/2009 18:33

It was a actually and it obviously got under your skin SM.

Fleurlechaunte · 18/01/2009 18:36

People belly aching about their cleaners just bores the tits off me quite frankly. They clean your floors and your toilets because you don't want to. If you don't like how they do that attractive task then just tell them instead of bleating about it on here.

And just noticed that this is an extremely old thread so I will disappear hastily now.

staffylover · 18/01/2009 20:22

twat and racist!
