Why on earth would I need a sanitary towel manufacturer to tell me that periods are 'natural' and encouraging me to 'have a happy period'!

'Periods are just our bodies way of telling us they're working' - er, no they're not, they're a bit more than that. They're our bodies telling us we're not pregnant, actually.

I didn't think sanitary towel ads could get any worse, and then they did. Grrrrrr.

Thank heavens for Mooncups.

LittleMyDancing you just described my period since I started using a mooncup! I'm a bit gobsmacked by that.

Yes I too hate that advert beyond all belief (doesn't every woman?) and also another vote for mooncups here as well - did take me a good six months to get the hang of it though but I'm glad I persevered.

The advert doesn't bother me as much as WOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH BOAAAADDDDDDDYFFFFFOOOOOOORRRRRRMMMMMM used too.

(Translation. Feckin bodyform)

We have a fab advert over here for possibly Kotex.

It's a girl doing all the normal "period" type things (going to the beach, going out for coffee etc) and she has a furry animal with her, that she buys things for and strokes and looks after.

The tag line is "Take care of your beaver".

Only in Australia.

As kids, my best friend and I use to sing the BODYFORM commercial in the school playground as if we were auditioning for X Factor. We gave it our all

I hate my mooncup. There, I said it. [waits to be thrown off mumsnet]
