My dd is signed up for her first Little Gym session in September. She's dead excited about it. The Supermarket just happens to be next door...Ho hum...

In fact I had a laugh with the guy when we booked up. I asked if parents stayed with the kids during the session - and he started a spiel about how proud the parents are to see their children's confidence grow - etc etc etc. So I said - so most parents stay then? Reply - No they pop next door and do the shopping. Right answer - where do I sign?

I used to work in a shopping centre creche, the mums loved us

seeker · 16/07/2008 14:40

Why would you not use it? I wiah there was a [baffled] emoticon - I would use it all the time!

nailpolish · 16/07/2008 17:10

they loved it! so did i

i even had some extra time to poke around other shops - saw a great bag for £20 but resisted

its attached to a nursery so they have great facilities

and it was cheap and chips!

i am now going to do this every week

Now I am jealous - why isn't there a supermarket creche here? It is not fair.

nailpolish the one at the gyle is fantastic!!! (if you are meaning the castle gyle one that is next to the bus stops but cant think of another one)

that was the first crche i ever left my pfb in and i fell in love with them right away as they put a security belt on her so she could not escape without an alarm going of and they also do not let parents past the front desk then there is yet another door (with locking system) for the kids to go through.

the staff are always lovely and there is loads for them to do.

one time dd2 started to get a sore tummy when she was in there and they called me right away which i was pleased with.

meep · 16/07/2008 19:54

nailpolish and kerryk - how much is the Gyle creche? It sounds magic!

redrobin · 16/07/2008 19:55

oh goodoh! am going to do the same with my two now Naily, have loads of things to do at the gyle (mostly take back things to m&s that i bought and look bouff in).

nailpolish · 17/07/2008 09:57

kerry it was fab you are right - the gyle castle one at the bus stop

it was £12 for an hour and a half (for 2 dds) which i think is pretty good

I went to Lakeside for the first time a month, couple of months ago. The creche was closed , due to under-use.

kerryk · 18/07/2008 09:36

i dont think that will happen to the one at ikea in edinburgh, there is usually a queue waiting to get in.
