Try living in Manchester!!

Looking at the BBC it is rubbish until sunday when we have a big sun.. but they always do that to keep your hopes up.

Who can we blame? We must have someone to blame? I normally take it out on whoever is doing the weather report and smugly saying that it is going to rain all week!

no

Ecmo I am thrilled it that is true as it means my summer party will hopefully not be a wash out. (Given last year our house was flooded completely the week before our summer party I'm trying to stay optimistic).

However, what does depress me is that the BBC link says that 23F is the average temperature for July. Seriously? I thought it was higher than that. I mean it's summer for godsake. Surely it's got to be hotter than that on average?! If not, perhaps it really is time to look to sunnier climes.

I live in Scotland......

No no no! Be positive!

If the weather is shit it makes everyone so much happier when it is good! The pallid british people wander out onto the streets, stripping to their beer guts and bingo wings and smiling at everyone! We appreciate it so much more!

When you go on holiday somewhere hot it's lovely by the pool, but try working in it. I would also not appreciate having to put factor 50 all over myself and the sprog every day before going out, and still having to hide in the shade. A right palaver.

Also we have stacks of beautiful fertile land which loves the rain and temperate climate we have. Rolling green countryside etc. No lawns in hotter climes, unless you want to put a sprinkler over them every day which I'm sure is not exactly environmentally friendly. We can grow loads of food crops and brilliant gardens.

And thunderstorms are really exciting! And lying in bed listening to the rain pitter patter while you're all warm and dry...

So there.

Mind you a month in the caribbean right now would do me the world of good!

You are all welcome to come to Nairobi, the perfect climate all year round Today it has been sunny, partly cloudy, around 23 degrees. What more could you ask for? Actually even for here its unseasonally sunny just now, it should be chilly (ok, so not chilly exactly, more around 20 degrees)grey skies and the odd bit of rain for July and half of August. Enough to warrant a lovely log fire at night and pop on boots that you can't wear at any other time of year.

I agree with fimbo, i don't want it too hot, just nice, steady temperature.

We should all go live with Anorak in Bermuda
