He was smoking weed and after a massive row agreed to stop.

I do believe he has stopped, the change in him is unbelievable but AIBU to get a few tests in and ask him to take them?

If he is not smoking he has nothing to worry about.

I know its all about 'trust' but I have been through this before where he said he was stopping and carried on for 8 months behind my back

This time I kicked him out though and very publicly made a huge fuss and so I do think he has stopped.

Dope is not very addictive at all! The tobacco that many people smoke it with may be but Dope is not an addictive substance.

Beanie, not PHYSICALLY addictive but it definatly is mentally, I know my DH told me he felt he needed it or else he felt 'down'.

Same with BIL, he 'thinks' he needs it to 'relax'.

agree litterbug, and actually seeing my ex try and come off of it i would say it was physically addictive as well as mentally. he had night sweats, shakes, everything.

I do not agree that dope is not addictive. Smoke enough of it and it certainly can be.

I used to think that when I was a lot younger! I never got addicted but have seen damage done to friends and family who have been.

Its not the innocent happy hippy drug it cracked up to be. Especially these days with skunk which often has crystal meth cut with it precisely to make it more addictive.

Tilly - where did you hear that? About the Crystal Meth?

Are you sure you are not getting confused with THC which is present on plants and can be seen on the buds as little crystals?

There was a big panorama thing about it last year and it kind of fits with the changes I have seen with friends who have smoked a lot of skunk for years but seem to be getting in a right mess lately. Of course it could also be the long term of it as we ain't as youg as we used to be!

I can see thsi Judge, Justin Phillips, has said that it is cut with Crystal meth but finding it hard to find anything else to suggest that this is actually true. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6409801.stm

I would be surprised if as a rule people (dealers) would be cutting Skunk with Crystal Meth!

x posting. Thing is - on the internet I can only find this one thing (Same as you did) but nothing else to really suggest that it's a widespread propblem.

I dunno, this panorama thing last year was quite convincing.

I am sure its not done to it all but it is scary when people you love and care about are hooked on it that it might be.

It might just be some crazy old bloke a wig though... (thats the judge not me)
