I know it's unreasonable but I come from a place where we didn't use it and when it's written down on MN it drives me crazy. Unlike everything else which I'm perfectly calm about being pregnant with number four!!
Biggest offenders:
Preggers, Sarnie, Sanger, Maccie dees, hon

I'm sure there are loads more.

Sandwich - there is a sandwich shop near me called "Sangers" - I have to avert my eyes.

forevercleaning · 02/07/2008 17:10

a sandwich is a sanger? I have never heard of that!

cardy · 02/07/2008 17:18

That's new to me. Is it a regional word?

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/07/2008 17:20

crikey, you do lead sheltered lives...sanger is horrid, though

Blu · 02/07/2008 17:25

You're OK about swearing,t hough?

And what about 'good slang?
Fanjo for example?

Ags · 02/07/2008 17:29

This is illuminating! I thought only Dubliners said sanger. The word I hate most on here is 'parp'. It drives me crazy.

blueskythinker · 02/07/2008 17:33

I dislike missus, and tho. Ain't is dreadful.

(Have found my spiritual home)

Lowfat · 02/07/2008 17:34

I too hate sanger (sandwich) and spag bol (spaghetti bolognese). Both make me heave!

blueskythinker · 02/07/2008 17:34
