Pedestrians all in black or dark clothing...

I mostly walk to work and wear a pale coloured coat and hat to give me a chance of being seen on the pavements, crossing the road, on zebra crossings.

Driving to the gym in the morning - so many people walking all in black - the street lighting isn't great where I live and it's really hard to see people. Wear some pale clothing - especially kids!

I've often thought that coats should have a small reflective trim incorporated into them, it doesn't need to be much, just something that catches the light when moving.

Wasn't there literally a public information campaign about this many years ago called "Be safe, be seen"? I carry a reflective armband I can slap on when walking in the pitch dark. It's less pedestrians that I find problematic though, and it's the invisible bikes with invisible cyclists, usually the delivery guys, who are all in black with no lights, and you only see them in your car when you're basically on top of them. Bright clothing is a must for them, because you can't see them sideways on when pulling out of junctions etc as the lights front and rear are rarely bright enough to project far enough in front and behind.

This is something that really winds me up!

Pedestrians & cyclists you need to be seen - wearing black/dark colours does not help.

Neither does randomly crossing the road when you feel like (bonus points if you emerge from between parked cars or push-chair first), jogging on the road when there is a 10 foot wide pavement next to you or wearing flashing lights when the whole area is festooned with random flashing lights (OK, so that only applies around xmas)

Agree.

Car drivers who don’t see someone dressed all in black on a dark road who have lights in their car and can be seen - seem to be blamed for the invisible person appearing on their windscreen!
