Should I complain to Lidl?

So I was doing some shopping with dd (4) and when near the fridges the assistant who was shelf staking dropped or knocked off (I didn’t see) this heavy metal bar that goes at the front of the shelves where they put the prices IYKWIM. It really hurt and shocked me - I immediately bent over to put pressure on my foot cos it was stinging, he did apologise and I appreciate he didn’t do it on purpose and I was overwhelmingly glad it didn’t hit dd! But as I’ve taken my rights off now this is the mark it’s left……..
so YABU- just get over it
OR
YANBU - that’s not just a bump, say something

@givingupimdone I don’t understand why you are getting such a hard time here OP, imagine if that bar had struck your child on their head ? I would complain.

If the bar had hit somebody on the head then I’m sure the responses would have been very different and the person would not have just walked out of the shop without reporting it because it is a completely different scenario .

It was an accident. They said sorry

I think the only thing you can do is tell them that the shelves (or that specific shelf?) is dangerous because the bar falls off and it made you bleed so it could injure a small child. I assume the outcome you want is for them to check the shelves are attached properly. I think any other complaint is a bit vague and there won’t be much outcome

It was an accident and you have a bashed foot. Get over it. You would really risk getting someone into bother at work over that? What are you hoping the outcome would be? You looking for a voucher?
