To have not picked up the shit

Live near a park with a circular path where I walk regularly. Have seen a guy in a motorised mobility scooter walk his dogs there. He promptly zooms off once they have had a poo and has never in my experience, picked it up. I often glare at him.

Today I was walking towards him when one of his dogs was doing a poo and for the first time ever he has poo bags! As I get closer he says “Excuse me love, can you bag that up for me?”. I stopped and paused to question to myself what he just asked. Because I couldn’t believe my ears I said “I’m sorry?” and he repeated the question. I said “no, I’m not picking up your dog’s poo” and kept walking. He shouted “arsehole” after me.

Now I’m wondering if I should have done it! Would you? Am I being out of order to someone with mobility issues by saying no?!

I like dogs! I’m an animal person. But I don’t have a pet and I don’t want to pick up poo.

Omg you weren't even there walking your own dog 😂😂 outrageous!

He's winding you up having seen you glaring at him. YWNBU to refuse.

YANBU. I always think the same when people with mobility scooters are out walking their dogs, especially off the lead. They have absolutely no control over the animal and cannot clean up after it., I love dogs. I have one myself. My least favourite task is cleaning up her poo, I’m not starting to clean up somebody else’s!

I didn’t mean to imply other people don’t like dogs! I was a bit brief there sorry. I just mean I like them a lot, I have my own, I’m used to picking up their poo so it doesn’t really phase me like it might a non dog owning or dog liking person who I could understand feeling a bit more awkward about it.
