I’ve noticed, since hitting middle age that not all men but quite a significant proportion of them, are arrogant domineering arseholes. I’m rigorously testing the theory by implementing the following…

Be a woman. Go for a walk, somewhere busy. See a man coming towards you. Keep on walking. Do not move out of the way, and see his confusion when you don’t automatically let him pass.

That’s it. Playing chicken (ish) with the owner of a cock. Care to join me?

I noticed it when I became a woman of a certain age. When I was young and bouncy, men would part the ways like the Dead Sea.

I'm 70. It doesn't happen to me. It's give and take round here.

It’s 💯 a thing - and it pisses me off on a daily basis…the entitlement is real!

Was hoping for coq au vin recipes.

Teenagers are near universally oblivious idiots in this regard, so don’t really count.

If you do it, look way past the person you are approaching. Eye contact introduces some kind of unspoken agreement to move. Do not look at them.

I have done this many times, including when a man actively moved into my path unnecessarily. You have to brace for impact as well - I have had a few quite hefty impacts too, I just keep moving and don't react or look back.

I only have this if people are on their phones. I make eye contact, walk like a sergeant, and have an unfriendly face.

That said, the number of "smiles" or "cheer up love" I would get in my youth made me want to scream.

Now in my 40s I have stern mother face and most move. That said everyone needs to make space for each other in crowded spaces, not just making men move for fun.
