Hello, can anyone tell me if my mum can claim attendance allowance whilst my dad receives PIP at the same time?
Thank you

You don’t get carers allowance over state pension age, something isn’t right here.

Unless the DM isn’t claiming state pension?

Edited

There’s no age limit on carers allowance so it would depend what else, if anything the DM of that poster was claiming.

And sometimes even if the payment is £0.00 the underlying entitlement makes a huge difference with other benefits and help.

I did edit to add it would depend on her state pension, but it seems unlikely it would be claimed due to her not having a full state pension but giving enough income to save for a wet room.

People can get one or the other depending on age. But they relate to the individual's personal illnesses and aren't anything to do with anyone else.
I think you can get carers allowance for someone else if you're on PIP but only if it doesn't conflict with what you can and cannot do.
