AIBU to worry this anxious and avoidant person is moving too slowly?

I have been talking to someone for a while, and they send me gifts like make music tracks for me, draw me things/ make artwork, grow food (veg) thinking about me, and we seem to be very compatible interests wise. But. They are they say highly anxious and avoidant. They say they are highly attracted to me. It’s really moving slowly. Like slow. I don’t want to be impatient but also I don’t want to be an idiot. Help a girl out here. Anyw advice?

Ditch them. They will waste your life

It’s confusing for you when their actions are saying one thing and their words are saying another.

There is a bit of an entitled expectation here that you will be patient and work out what it all means. It may not be consciously entitled but the end result is the same.

If someone describes themselves as "anxious and avoidant" they have already had way too much therapy. I'd be worried about what lay behind it all, tbh.

They will repair just enough to keep you always on the hook, or offer grand gestures that are essentially empty so they don’t have to commit. Won’t say they love you, but will take you for a special dinner; won’t propose but will treat you to a fancy holiday…you’ll get just enough to make you think you’re important to them, but when you look at all the gestures you’ll really they’ve never once given you something of actual value

God, move on, @Rosie8880. Are you the same poster whose friends forgot her birthday plans? If so, I think you should look at what the two situations have in common, and what you can do to change your own actions to avoid wasting your own time in future. It sounds to me as if clear communications are key in both.
