Tigerbread and the midnight feast....

Omg I have a new bad habit. I've discovered humps of tigerbread... lashings of thick butter and chunks of cheese...
4 nights in a row now. I haven't lived!
The 2 dogs follow me silently.... they are complicit in my selfish act and they get a tiny piece of cheese each 😆. Then we quietly slip back upstairs and go to bed ! Wtaf is this new craving ?! I've had dinner ...so its not really hunger. But once I start I can't stop ... my poor teenage son gets the blame when the provisions run low 😆. Am I alone in this blissful but at the same time ridiculously indulgent ritual? Is it menopause ? I am sure I've put on a kilo each night ! I cannot be the only one.... let us unite in our midnight rituals !!

I am joking! I don’t like the smell of it at all and told my DH this to attempt to put him off it. It hasn’t worked. I often come home to find it in the bread bin.

There are fewer than 6,000 tigers left in the wild. The bakery industry should stop using them in their bread.

(Cadbury's "Animals" biscuits should be banned too as vegans can't eat them.)

Well... people ! The tiger loaf is finished ... until I go shopping again .... I have to confess this morning I had the last piece for breakfast with a leftover sausage and a slush of tomato sauce. Judge all you like !! To the poster who said its got some addictive substance in it... no other explanation for it ! It must be the tiger wee ! 😂
I've also got some fab ideas here with the marmite, lemon curd and Nutella.... ohhh my gawd how will I last till Saturday!!!

Just get a delivery. We buy this one, it’s always in our order with a loaf in the freezer, it’s lovely in sandwich’s and toasted.

I had to stop buying tiger bread for midnight feast reasons.

Thick slice, heated chopped tomatoes, cheese and grilled. Like a toastie crossed with pizza. Was my absolute downfall for many years

I bloody well love tiger bread with cheese and butter. Unfortunately, high fat dairy sets my stomach acid off horrendously so I enjoy mine with a bit of reduced fat Philly and some ham or chicken.

I would LOVE to do this but I’m trying to cut calories at the moment. I really wish I hadn’t opened the thread ☹️🍞

I sometimes buy one fresh and warm from the bakery it’s like a drug. I keep returning until it’s gone. I’ll be buying some in the morning, you’re making me jealous.

I hate the smell and taste of tiger bread and have never seen the attraction.

I do, however, love an uncut bloomer loaf, a Waitrose rustique or similar with cheddar cheese (I loathe butter too) - simple lunches are the best imo.

I swapped mine for malt loaf covered in butter last night 👌
