To not use this saucepan again after slime making

Hi there. I have OCD so can be a bit neurotic - don't want to overreact.

My daughter (very late teens) and a friend from college I think were feeling nostalgic for years past and have decided to make slime together. Just realised they are sitting in the garden making it in one of my saucepans (large stainless steel).

I'm thinking that this has potentially written the saucepan off for ever making food in it again safety wise - but I know I can worry about things unnecessarily, so just wanted a sense check

We used to make it with contact lens solution and shaving foam so washing the pan in hot water should be more than enough. If in doubt, soak it in a solution of bicarbonate of soda to get rid of any left over smell.

I am the type to bin it and buy a new one.

How silly. Wash it well. Reuse.

DS used my favourite bowl to grow a glow-in-the-dark crystal. I washed it thoroughly, then steeped it in water overnight then washed again giving it a good rinse. Been using it again as normal.

Out of date eyeshadow you say? Definitely not.
