AIBU to think custard creams are not worth the calories?

I’m currently calorie counting due to wanting to shift a few pounds, I just worked out that a custard cream has between 60-65 calories per biscuit (gasp)
AIBU to think this is a piss take and I WILL NOT be spending all them calories (could easily eat a whole pack in one sitting I mean who can’t)
what foods suprised you with how many calories are in them?

Totally unreasonable. They are worth every single calorie!
Top tip for biscuits - Lotus Biscoff. 37 cals. You can't say they aren't worth it!!

From an internet search I learn that one tablespoon (30g) of Cornish Clotted Cream contains 178 calories, which is more than two boiled eggs. 😢

I’ve also just read that 1 tablespoon (25g) of Devon Clotted Cream contains 68 calories.

Bloomin’ internet.

I know which I’ll choose to believe.

Lol. If you’re wanting to shift weight I would not be having any sweet stuff. Even one plain digestive biscuit has around 70 calories.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 12/08/2026 23:45

Many shop bought biscuits aren't.

Better to have a known sweet treat that you can work into your daily calories when you're really craving something to go with a cuppa, then to completely deny yourself and restrict, only to then go overboard on sweets later when either your willpower cracks or you reach your "goal"

milkhater · 12/08/2026 23:52

that’s actually quite low for a biscuit

Disagree. Sugar is addictive. The more you eat, the more you crave. Better to have none at all when dieting. You are just making it harder for yourself.

Well I woke up through the night and ate 6 🤣 that’s 300 odd calories consumed today and I haven’t long woke up 🤣 why do all the nice things have to be so high! I’ll switch to lotus I think!
