Strangest place you’ve found the TV remote

What’s the strangest place you’ve found a lost tv remote? Ours is missing so looking for some suggestions of unusual places to look - last time it turned up in the fridge!

In my son's school blazer after him being 100% sure he didnt have it. We burned the living upside down trying to find it. Next day he comes back from school and was like mum guess what I found in my pocket 😅

In a packet of breadsticks. In my defence, I was pregnant and a complete scatter brain.

I only found it as a friend had told me that the sky remote would beep if I pressed a button the box.

In my oven gloves, hanging from the cooker. My toddler had popped it into the bit where your hands go

I lost one in the mechanics of the sofa bed, spotted it but then broke it while trying to get it out. Also found one in a child's book being used as a bookmark but it was months later and had bought another one!

Watching a harrowing episode of Peaky Blinders years ago. Thought I need wine to cope with this. Trip to fridge to get wine, replaced it with remote, as you do. Drank wine, survived PB, (Grace got shot), went to put TV on standby, couldn’t find remote, turned off TV manually at the set. Found remote next morning when I went for milk to make a morning coffee.

In my daughter's ice skate, in her skate bag, in the car.

Blackpool. We do not live there.

STBXH threw a strop and took our young children to Blackpool for the weekend. He let them pack for themselves so DS (4) took one if his favourite things, the remote control.

I actually didn't notice because I don't watch much TV, I doom scroll and read fanfic instead.

I once also found it in a full glass of wine.

STBXH had passed out on the sofa after drinking more than a bottle of wine and it had fallen into his glass.

Just don't ask any nurses or doctors 🤣

Fridge and when younger in my school bag- got it out to use my calculator in a maths class

Not a huge help i know, but many moons ago when my children were early teens, I never, ever watched tv. So whenever the remote was lost, I would make them look for it, as I absolutely knew that the only time I moved it was when vacuuming the sofa, and then I would put it back on the sofa arm.

One summer my inlaws and my exDH took the children to the US for a month.
On the morning of their departure my son was complaining he couldn't find the remote to turn the tv off, so I just switched it off at the wall.

Fast forward 4 weeks when they arrived home. One of the first questions I was asked was where the tv remote was.
Only then did I remember it being reported lost 4 weeks earlier.

Up until that point I don't think anyone believed me that I never watched tv!

In the basket of the pushchair when I picked dd up from nursery.

If it's the Amazon Firestick remote you can buy brightly coloured covers for it.

Never lose it again!

In the gap between the top of the washing machine and the countertop

Ours is always down the side of the sofa.
