AIBU to think her baby bump looks completely normal?

Choice of outfit aside, apparently the internet is going "wild" that her bump looks fake.

I cannot for the life of me understand why?! It's a perfectly normal shaped bump?!

I can't see the baby. It's as hidden as well as it will ever be. I can see a woman's stomach, but that's hardly remarkable.

She's a slim woman with what looks like a classic high-front bump. I am not a slim woman who had a classic low-slung torpedo bump.

People have frighteningly small comprehension of differences in phenotypes. Ironically, in part, because they only see moonbumps on TV. Maybe if they saw more different bumps then they'd be better educated.

Sorry I'm at a loss to know why you have quoted me. Although I am intrigued that you refer to her baby bump as her stomach. I don't like the term baby bump but it at least describes what it is where as describing it merely as her stomach is very strange.

Also perplexed as to why we need to see more bumps on TV. It may come as a surprise to you but pregnancy has been around for a long , long time. Why do we now have to endure every single aspect of a woman's body being put on public display and obsessively discussed?

NoHotGirlsInHell · 11/08/2026 09:51

I was too fat when pregnant to look like that 😂

Because you referred to her baby not having any privacy.

Her baby is as concealed as it is possible to be! You can't see it. It has complete privacy.

These people need to think about what they are actually saying. Why would Anne Hathaway wear a fake baby bump? Are they genuinely suggesting she's mentally ill? It's so odd. The Internet just allows a public voice for all the weirdos.

I don't think you'd wear clothes like that with a fake bump.

Also I carried different for all three and at different times looked different as babied turned or dropped in later pg. First didn't have a clasic bump at all she was up under ribs and surpirse MW with how heavy she was.

Bumps are going to depend on baby position and woman body shape and muscles.

MageKing · 11/08/2026 12:34

That has to be the most ridiculous outfit I've ever seen but no, it's just a perfectly normal pregnant woman - one who, pre pregnancy, was very fit, very healthy, very slim and very toned.

shes Quoting you because you said celebrity babies don’t get any privacy in the womb which was a weird thing to say as she is showing off her own stomach, not her fetus.

I also think it looks totally normal. I carried like this and I remember my mum saying it looked painful- it wasn’t, but now seeing it on someone else I know what she means

BringBackCatsEyes · 11/08/2026 12:39

My bump was like that. Tall, slim and fit. Small but very obvious bump (from the front). The product of that bump has just informed me he’s awake.

Showing it off, is this the same as the daily mail comments where if someone wears a bikini they are flaunting their figures.

she isn’t showing it off, she’s just not covered it.

There have been claims that other A list celebs have faked a pregnancy and used surrogacy instead to preserve their bodies and minimise the impact on their careers. But as far as I know none of those stories were ever confirmed. Presumably AH has been subject to similar speculation. There are also some claims online that AH is actually a trans-woman so I guess anyone peddling that narrative would be invested in her having a 'fake baby bump' but again, as far as I know this is most likely pure speculation from people who have too much time on their hands. People just need to mind their own business.

I can’t believe that anyone still thinks it’s okay to discuss women’s bodies

I think it’s ok 🤷🏽‍♀️ we can discuss my body if you want for fairness?
