To ask for advice and support around losing 6+ stone between now and May?

I've been offered a job starting on May 27. My old trainer is setting up a new eventing yard and wants me as head groom/rider.

It's a fantastic opportunity to get back to the sport I love but unfortunately I had a horrible accident last year that resulted in multiple injuries and a long hospital stay.

Because of that and the medications I've been taking, my weight has ballooned up to 20 stone. I'm 5'4 so I'm massively overweight. Ideally i'd be under 14 stone when I started with the goal of getting back down to my ideal weight of around 8 stone.

I've told my family and friends it's for my wedding which is at the start of may because they're very against me riding again and I don't want to deal with the aggo if it's not even vaguely possible. My partner knows and is very supportive of me trying.

I've been eating around 1500 calories a day and walking briskly for 20mins several times a day. I've included a few pics of my diet/exercise for the past couple of days. (I will be adding more fruit/veg/protein in starting tonight when my groceries arrive, and switching out the whole milk for skimmed. I'm just trying to empty the fridge so nothing gets wasted!)

I know myself well enough that if I have to cook I'll go back to eating junk or takeaways. My partner is a chef and has tried to teach me but I'm just genuinely utterly crap at it and have no interest in cooking.

The ready meals are all gym kitchen or prep kitchen so have a good balance of fat/protien/carbs and actually taste good.

I genuinely love potato pops ❤️

I'm only 5 foot and a half an inch and was 21 stone do huge. I've been on Mounjaro for 4 1/2 months and lost over 2 1/2 stone. I'm on a higher dose now so loosing more quickly.

That's quite a big portion size

That's quite a big portion size

It's 80g of potato pops, 400g of chicken, pasta, veg and sauce and 100g of peas. Not excessive for my main meal of the day.

Just in case this is useful to you.

I'm 4 inches shorter than you. I lost 5 stone in a year, a few years ago and have kept it off.

i did the blood sugar diet ( Michael Mosley). 800 cals a day (I have a v low TDEE as so short). Only ate v nutritionally dense food. I ate it as 1 meal a day. Was never hungry. I did loads of walking and lifted weights to protect my muscle. If doing it now, I’d add Mounjaro to make it a bit easier. Good luck!!

Thank you! That's really impressive!
