to expect my nipples to be off-limits as a topic of conversation during soft play?

I read the threads a lot on this site, but rarely post. But tonight I'm asking for your help, please!

Was at soft play today with a woman I am friendly with, but not very close, IYKWIM. We were having a conversation about pull-up nappies, when she suddenly shifted topic and told me that the next time I wear a tee-shirt I must be sure to wear a tee-shirt bra with some padding, as my nipples were too prominent. Then she smiled and added that she knew what she was talking about because, like me, she had large nipples.

WTF?!

I was part humiliated, part pissed off, and I suppose a little amused. After we left her, I began wondering if other people I know are thinking the same thing... if maybe loads of mums in my cirlce are secretly tut-tutting over my nipple display...

Of course, I headed straight to M&S and bought something like a padded bra. "Tee shirt" bras don't come in my size, you see...

So, what do you think? Am I being unreasonable? I mean, we are all mothers. We all have breasts. All breasts (barring surgery or horrid body surfing accidents) have nipples. Why should I try to pretend I don't have them? What do I care if I have my "highbeams" on at soft play?!?

My best mate's so-called bf did this to her literally minutes before she had to do her first lecture (to 200+ students) at the college where they were on a post-grad, bits of teaching type programme.

'You do know your nipples are sticking out? Haven't you got a better bra? Oh. Well, good luck then...'

V strange woman OP. Take no notice at all!

Ok it was me and I was trying to do you a favour. gah some people! If your nipples will present a blinding health and safety issue for passing LOs then someone should say something!

My bush is a beautifully kept area often to entered into country shows.

How funny!!!
They have these silicone inserts so it looks like you always have hard nipples. You must wear them the next time you meet up. BTW, there was a very scientific study showing that men loved to see prominent nipples. You sexy thing, you!

Oh, I should really order those silicone inserts and wear them to my son's upcoming birthday party (to which the neighborhood nip watch lady's DS has already been invited)... Thank you for the idea. Just not sure I'd have the balls to wear them in the end.

She sounds like a friend of mine who is too blunt for words (went into waayy too much detail explaining how her ds2 was conceived - all in front of my mil who she'd never met). I just nod and say mm and accept she talks rubbish sometimes and try not to get a complex if she says anything about me!
You're fine - your boobs are fine - shes the mad (and rude) one
