To ask what I can treat myself to on an all inclusive kids holiday

Going in a couple of weeks, with kids aged 3, 6, 8. All inclusive set up so food and drinks sorted with tonnes of activities, this mean's from maybe 8am-9pm we are rammed with kids swimming, football, fun fairs, evening shows etc. I always come back pleased for the kids but basically broken... kids are typically in bed by 9/10 on holiday and no means for me to escape so no spas or coffees etc by myself. What can I take for ME to feel a little bit pampered/like I've had something? Any suggestions welcome.

Pod cast/Audio book/fancy bath bits for relaxing when they are in bed?
Bottle of wine/gin? 😁

Cosyblankets · 03/08/2026 22:58

Are you on your own with them?

MinimumRage · 03/08/2026 22:59

Definitely some nice drinks for evening when kids are in bed. Cocktails in tins and get some ice from the bar.

An excellent book.

I like playing word games like NY puzzles or chess on my phone - you could try that.

Cinnamonroles · 03/08/2026 23:01

I’d take a drink or two back from the bar, and I used to bring eye and face masks to use once DC was asleep and put something I like on the tv.

minimuffs2651 · 03/08/2026 23:03

Do you need to supervise 8-9?

If not, i would vanish and take a nap. Don't be on your phone because you can do that at home and it won't feel rewarding after.

Apricotdog · 03/08/2026 23:05

Bubble bath and scented candles, run the bath before dc sleep, wine and a book

raceacrossthewild · 03/08/2026 23:19

Put them in the kids club and enjoy time to you. I felt guilty doing this at first but they have a great time and make friends they then see around the resort, making life easier again as they have more people to be with.

Of course she needs to supervise a 3, 6 and 8 year old.

Kids club

AhBiscuits · 03/08/2026 23:24

Yeah need to know if you're going alone or not. Either leave with DH or put in kids club then go get a massage.

Hayley1256 · 03/08/2026 23:27

I would get some nice wine or other drinks from the duty free in the airport, a few good books, a tablet to watch shows/movies on and then some pamper bits ( face masks, hair masks, foot masks, nice body lotion etc). Maybe some nice chicks and snacks from the airport too

Smartiepants79 · 04/08/2026 10:34

Kids club.
Are you alone?? If not. You both take turns and have a few hours off. That’s what we used to do.

Not necessarily Confused lots of all-inclusive hotels have kids clubs you can drop them off at for a few hours.

Exactly, isn’t this an option OP? Are you a single parent?

hahabahbag · 04/08/2026 10:38

Kids club at least for the older ones, persuade youngest to nap at that time and head to read a book or quiet drink (not necessarily alcohol)

JacknDiane · 04/08/2026 10:39

This sort of holiday sounds amazing for kids. Do you mind me asking who it is with @WellThatsAllRightThen?

Moonnstarz · 04/08/2026 10:42

What do you like? For me it would be a good book.

Bjorkdidit · 04/08/2026 10:46

Hopefully you'll have a balcony you can sit on after they've gone to bed with a drink and a book? Try and do that for half an hour each evening?

Perhaps try and get them all in morning kids club at the same time at least once or twice so you can have a peaceful coffee?

FrenchandSaunders · 04/08/2026 11:00

This all sounds very full on, does every day have to be like that or can there be some chill days ... as much as you can chill with that age group obv!

Thats not how it was written

RowsOfFlowers · 04/08/2026 11:04

Book a massage or treatment. As long as kids are minded - kids club ?

Morepositivemum · 04/08/2026 11:09

Magazine/ book and food and drink (not alcohol- you have to deal with the head the following day!!)

WellThatsAlrightThen · 04/08/2026 11:09

Blimey, I thought I suddenly had 3 kids and was of on holiday soon!!!

theneighboureatmysalad · 04/08/2026 11:28

Strategic table with your own drink during the evening shows so you can keep an eye on the kids but chill

BrickSnail · 04/08/2026 11:43

Just wondering where you go because this sounds a lot lole what I'm after for next year.

Otherwise, no advice sorry. If not on your own try and do divide and conquer for a breather?
