AIBU to think awaiting test results for one person should not void family travel insurance

I have a premium level of travel insurance cover for me and my family, with all pre existing conditions declared. However, I am due a X-ray linked to one of these declared conditions and have been told that until I get the results, the entire travel insurance for me AND my family is void.

The catch is I go on holiday 2 days after the X-ray, so won’t have the results before I go for a week in Europe.

AIBU to think a lot of people might get caught out with this loophole, that whilst having or awaiting for an X-ray or test, and then results, for ANY medical treatment, regardless if it’s a pre declared condition, makes annual trip cover void until the results are received, and makes it void for everyone on the policy, not just the person awaiting tests or results?

It was either Staysure or Coversure that once cancelled our policy with about a week to go because I was awaiting tests. I was fit to fly according to the gp so they wouldn't refund the flights, just refunded the insurance premium 😕

For all those saying are u sure yes I'm sure you are right. We have annual health insurance with staysure as dh has complex health issues. He is currnetly well and fit but has had a routine positive bowel cancer screen test 1 week before we flew to Spain. The screening team deemed him low risk and couldnt do colonoscopy for a month, Staysure will not cover him for anything related to this, but have coverd everything else. The insurance was bought and paid for before the holiday was booked, hes not unfit to fly so we couldnt cancell on medical grounds. We have come and made sure.his GHIC was in place. It is a farce really, you book holiday, pay for insurance as all sensible people.do only to find its.cancelled due to a test result. I will now never do screening less then 3 months befire a holiday. Read your policy people!
