What is your attendance like for your school or workplace? The match started an hour later than planned. Good job it didn’t go onto extra time and penalties. That would have made it 45 minutes longer

I’m WFH and can’t see anyone who pulled a sickie in my team and department. There are two missing but one is on annual leave and the other has Mondays off

How can you work from home as a teacher? Sure they will reply when they’ve finished work.

No I’m talking about work in general. How many people have pulled sickies or didn’t let their DC attend school

Err teachers won't be on for a fair while yet. I had to fire two members of staff as they turned up still drunk!

We got given today off, I’m not in England but they have lots of English (and Americans so they got a long 4th July weekend) at the company. So they gave us all today off.

Only two students off because they stayed up watching the match. Two others off for legit reasons.
1 staff member called in sick but they aren't a football fan so I doubt they watched it...

The roads were a lot quieter than usual this morning

These two were drivers. They claimed not to be drunk but funnily enough when we suggested we ask the police to breathilise them having driven to work both accepted a taxi home and their P45. It may be a co-incidence that the football was on but that doesn't happen everyday.

That's terrible
