Would you ask them to turn it down? Exhausted

Detached properties, not massively close. Next door playing v v loud music, can hear the beat mostly. Also can hear lots of chatter. They’re outside. We get on with neighbours but not friends as such. We didn’t know they were having some sort of do but there’s a few cars outside so they must be.

I know they’re just having fun but I literally can’t sleep. Have to be up in 6 hours. Is it worth texting to ask them to turn it down? I know they’ll think I’m a bloody pain. Would you ask?

I am having that stressed feeling where you know you’ve got to be up but then literally can’t sleep… I may as well get up and clean or read or something!

I am really surprised that anyone would play music so loud at all let alone outside. I love a party but I’d be mortified if I thought my neighbours were being disturbed

Respectfully, you're probably not even on their minds if they are having a get together and have been drinking.

My neighbours do similar once a month/every other, I don't mind, it's normally all finished by midnight - and I can sleep through anything (blessed)

But just wanted to let you know, hopefully your asleep now, but it's not going to be a personal attack on you, it won't be that they don't care just probably too far gone to notice.

As a one off, I'd leave it.

I say this but I still get a bit moody when my other neighbour brings out his guitar and I'm reminded of a 3AM wake up call when it woke up my baby, 8 years ago 😂

Just wondering whats going to happen on sunday night when crowds of people are watching the football from 1 am. Not everyone will be going to the pub and there is bound to be drinking and celebration or commiseration afterwards.

Call the council out of hours and report it. Env health officers should attend and tell them to come inside. You can do this anonymously. I had the same prob, but now I don't.
