AIBU to worry my partner's lifestyle could affect fertility and health?

My partners diet & overall lifestyle isn’t great. We have been together for 7 years and not once and I really mean not once has he eaten a piece of fruit, veg, drank any water in that full time or done any exercise.

we have a young child together and would like to conceive another, but I’m worried that maybe his lifestyle could be impacting fertility to an extent? He vapes, drinks alcohol multiple times in a week, eats a lot of salt and processed food, drinks anywhere between 3-4 energy drinks a day, on top of pre workout purely for energy.

I’ve tried to gently suggest cutting down on certain things as I want him to obviously be healthy for our child and also encourage good lifestyle choices for her. I’m not sure if it’s wrong for it to bother / concern me?

It is concerning, but unfortunately can't imagine you will have much luck in getting him to change.

It's not wrong to be bothered by it. It's completely normal and rational to be concerned about the health of someone you're raising a child with and planning to grow old with. His health impacts on you and your DC.

Oh he sounds gross. He probably doesn’t realize he feels crappy til he stops all of that. It’s amazing how much a body can endure.
All you can do is offer advice and suggestions, not much else, he doesn’t care enough to change because he doesn’t see the negative effects yet.
