AIBU to think babies/toddlers should not stay in one nappy for 12 hours?

I know someone that claims that babies and toddlers can stay in the same nappy for twelve hours and if- as I said- the nappy will always leak after 2-4 hours (or just be massive and full of wee so it clearly needs changing anyway) then you should put your child in a size up. I don't think that's right, it doesn't sound right. AIBU?

Overnight yes, during the day no that would mean they arent drinking anywhere near enough

Yep this.

My toddler's nappy lasts fine overnight cos he's not drinking anything. Is always pretty full if it's left 3-4 hours, think it would start leaking after 6 max but I've never left it on that long during the day...!

I never changed mine at night unless they pooed but always at least a couple of daytime changes plus extra for poos.

Overnight ds1 slept 7-7, and I wasn't going to wake him up to change him. Daytime change every 2-3hours or if he did a poo.

You’re clearly NBU. It is true that nappies these days are pretty absorbant and if your baby doesn’t have sensitive skin there’s no need to change after every wee.
