Fabswingers, facilitators of sex crimes

AIBU to think that sites like fabswingers should be taken down? There will be 100s of stories like this one. Now that the government is rightly tacking protection of children using the internet, how about also taking steps to protect women.

This issue lies with the woman's husband, not the website. She was clearly vulnerable and he exploited that.

The problem is abusive men, but the website both normalises and facilitates their desire to abuse.

I’m not sure that’s true to be honest, and certainly isn’t reflective of what the article has said, it’s more the website doesn’t get involved. I’m not sure it’s right to say they are normalising it and facilitating. Abusers abuse, they don’t need a platform to do it, abusive men, and abusive women, let’s face it, have existed since time began.

I think if you want to take fan swingers down you first need to take down X, Facebook, tinder etc which will all be named in many more sexual crimes.

Agree, abusive men will find and prey on vulnerable women anywhere.

Listened to two episodes of the podcast. Difficult to listen to. I imagine the website could do something to be better but the real issue is the husbands and partners. This woman sharing her story will enlighten a lot of other women in similar situations. I hope it gets more traction so more women hear her story.

I've literally just finished it. And I think it was more of an issue to do with her relationship. The website.
Didn't find it particularly difficult listen, but I do deal with a lot of stuff like this at work
